Saíram hoje, 28 de julho, os indicados à 72ª premiação do Emmy, marcada para 20 de setembro e que será apresentada por Jimmy Kimmel. Devido à pandemia do coronavírus, a organização não descarta uma edição totalmente virtual.
Entre as novidades estão as indicações de The Mandalorian a Melhor Drama – única para as produções da nova Disney+; Watchmen como Minissérie (o que significa, infelizmente, que a ótima produção inspirada na obra de Alan Moore é filha única); a ótima atuação de Steve Carrell em The Morning Show, concorrendo a Ator em série dramática; e Zendaya na lista de Atriz em série dramática por Euphoria.
Alguns comentários aleatórios:
- acho que vai dar The Crown em todas as categorias possíveis, porque os americanos adoram a realeza britânica;
- sem Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) no páreo, A Maravilhosa Sra. Maisel deve voltar a dominar as categorias de Comédia;
- a ótima Inacreditável foi indicada a Minissérie, mas ninguém do seu fabuloso elenco o foi (unbelievable!);
- Reese Witherspoon trabalhou como uma camela na temporada, mas não recebeu uma mísera indicação por nenhum de seus três trabalhos recentes na TV, ao contrário de vários de seus companheiros de elenco – Laura Dern e Mery Streep por Big Little Lies; Jeniffer Aniston, Steve Carrell e Billy Cudrup por The Morning Show e Kerry Washington por Little Fires Everywhere;
- nem quero ver os outros concorrentes e já dou o troféu para Watchmen e para seus atores principais Regina King e Jeremy Irons (foto);
- e, finalmente, como é que o péssimo Hollywood conseguiu uma indicação por atuação (no caso, Jeremy Pope)?
